Poetic Captions: Mother's Day

My mom on my wedding day. Thanks Mom!
Mother's Day is almost here.  My mom unfortunately lives in another province so I won't be seeing her for Mother's Day. So today's debut series Poetic Captions is dedicated to my mom. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to a wonderful lady.

Moms come in all shapes and sizes. Moms inspire us, care for us, help us grow. We love our moms and they love us.  So why not spend an hour or two crafting a poem for your mom.

With All My Heart, Mind, and Soul
--by Rena J. Traxel

In a mother’s arms
A child found
All the love and security
She needed to grow.

In a mother’s way
A rebellious teen
Saw all she needed
To choose her own way.

In a mother’s song
A young woman hears
The strength she needs
To conquer her fears

In a child’s heart
Her mom is her world.
In a teenage mind
Her mom is her guide.
In a woman’s soul
Her mom is eternally there.

What has your mom done for you?

  2. Speaking of inspiration, you've inspired me to try something for my mom. I don't think I would've done it before your A to Z. Oh, how I love this poem more after reading it again.
