Poetic Captions: Pug vs. the Poem

Friday is here and it's time for some poetry! Please note that I'm no longer posting poetry every Friday, but every second Friday.

I noticed it has been awhile since I've done a pug story so today's poem is dedicated to my love pug—Remi.

Remi the Love Pug

He has a big muzzle,
but don’t be afraid.
He’ll sniff you at first
then give you a kiss

He’ll steal your seat
and sample your food
He’ll drool on your bed
and chew your shoes

He’ll track mud in the house
and chase the cat
He’ll lick your books
and dirty the couch

He’s such a brat
He’s a naughty dog
You had enough
He has gone to far

But then…

He’ll nuzzle your feet
And keep you warm
He’ll guard your house
And you’ll feel safe

He’ll chase his tail
and make you smile
He’ll sit real pretty
and impress your friends

You’ll give him a hug
then a tummy rub
You’ll love him to death
and he’ll love you too!

If you liked this post please let others know. Come back on August 3 for another poetic caption. I will also be hosting the Poetry Friday Round-Up on Aug. 3. This coming Monday children's author Jennifer Young will be here to talk about her first author visit. I hope you come back for that until then dare to write the impossible

  1. Ah, great minds...well you know. I love pugs, but the verdict is still out on my little Chi-puppy-freakazoid-cutie.

    1. Haha. My pug is a big brat, but he always wins me over no matter what he does.

    1. Dogs are the best and they don't mind when I tell them about the latest story I'm working on.
